WITH HER BAND
Belle as the lead singer for her band, Sonder (2024 Winner of the Battles of the Bands), started performing at multiple venues in Hong Kong such as The Aftermath, Hong Kong Fringe Club and Lamma Fun Day since age 14, giving her the unique opportunity to showcase her high-energy sounds and captivating stage presence. By age 16, Izzy was regularly jamming away to crowds gathered at Hong Kong’s famous live music venues, The Aftermath and The Wanch with her Afterwork bandmates.
4 K-POP CONCERT FANS
Never a person to shy away from a challenge, Belle gave a thrilling performance of the highly difficult song, “Eleven” as arranged by Yoon Minseo at her school’s K-pop concert. Belle successfully tackled the intense emotional delivery, dynamic range and pacing of the song whilst singing in Korean for the first time!
PROM PERFORMANCES
As probably the youngest student to ever attend prom at her school, Belle started performing at prom for her fellow classmates as a freshman and have done so yearly since then. As a senior this year, Belle will be attending her 4th prom in her high school journey! She performed songs such as “I Have Nothing” by Whitney Houston, “Never Enough” by Loren Allred and “In the Name of Love” by Bebe Rexha. In her recent 2026 prom, Belle (in addition to vocal performances) also played the bass alongside her classmates, creating a concert like atmosphere in the ballroom!
COMMUNITY
During the second semester of her sophomore year, Belle connected with Music Flow, Hong Kong’s only non-profit organization dedicated exclusively to the provision of music therapy services. Working with a dedicated group of volunteers, Belle spends 3 hours weekly/bi-weekly (depending on upcoming events) with the elderly choir while assisting the choir director with rehearsals and preparation for concerts. As the only teenager in the mix, the elderly patients love interacting with Belle and the youthful energy she brings. It is also a great opportunity for Belle to learn classic Cantonese songs as she sings with the choir!
MUSICAL THEATER
Belle has always loved musical theater (The Notebook, Six, Chicago, Beetlejuice, Wicked and Matilda to name a few of her favorites!) and played leading roles in her school’s musicals. For her school’s annual gala dinner, Belle performed for hundreds of teachers, parents and alumni, singing and dancing to “Anything Goes”. Her other performances include “My Days” from the Notebook and “Maybe” from Miss Saigon.
DON'T SWEAT THE TECH
When schoolwork is completed, Belle transforms her study desk to her personal studio. As a budding music producer, Belle is learning how to use Logic Pro to help transform her raw ideas to polished tracks. Through countless hours on Logic Pro, Belle has recorded, edited and arranged her original songs, culminating in the completion of her first EP, “Above Water”.
IN THE BOOTH
Whether it’s the recording of her own songs or recording tracks with other artists or for other projects, Belle has spent many hours in the recording booth. It is inside that heavy, insulated recording booth that Belle's music comes to life.
